Every quiz you complete on QuizPrepHub earns XP, weighted by how difficult the question was and how quickly you answered it. That XP is what the leaderboard ranks students by — but which leaderboard you're looking at, and which students it includes, depends on a few filters that are worth understanding.
The first choice is time period: "This month" shows XP earned since the 1st of the current calendar month (boards reset at midnight UTC), while "All-time" tracks total XP ever earned. Monthly boards exist so a strong start in January doesn't put the race out of reach for the rest of the year — everyone gets a fresh board every month.
The second choice is scope: Worldwide shows the global ranking across every student on QuizPrepHub, Country narrows it to students from one country, and School narrows it to your own class or school roster. Layered on top of that, you can filter by grade and subject independently — so you can see the top Grade 8 students specifically, the top performers in Mathematics specifically, or combine both to see the top Grade 8 Mathematics students in the world.
Under the hood, this is also why QuizPrepHub has dedicated leaderboard pages for each combination — pages like the Mathematics leaderboard, the Grade 8 leaderboard, or a specific country's leaderboard each show a live, correctly-ranked board for that exact slice, rather than a single board you have to manually filter down every time you visit.
If you're trying to climb, the fastest lever is consistency rather than any single big score: since monthly boards reward XP earned that month, a daily streak in your strongest subject will move your rank more reliably than the occasional perfect quiz. Filtering to your own grade and subject is also the most realistic way to gauge exactly where you stand against students actually competing for the same spot.
